PROPERTIES:

Melamines IAMEL 5507 is a methyl/butyl mixed ethered melamine formaldehyde resin. The ratio of methoxy and butaneoxy (molar ratio) 

is about 50:50. It is soluble in polar solvents such as alcohol, ester and keto solvents and partially soluble in water and petroleum solvents.

Melamines IAVEL 5507 the degree of etherification is very high, and the reaction activity is relatively low. For a better cross-linking reaction,

acid catalysts should be added appropriately (such as dinonyl naphthalene sulfonic acid, PTSA, dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid, etc.). It has

good interlayer adhesion, excellent leveling and fullness, high crosslinking density, excellent flexibility, and good chemical resistance.

It can be used to make solvent-based and water-based coatings. In order to ensure storage stability in the application of the water-based

system, the pH value of the system can be modated to 8-9 or an appropriate amount of n-butanol can be added.

SUGGESTED USES: It can be used in water-based automobile primer, top paint, bicycle topcoat, coil paint, industrial baking paint,

coil paint, indoor electrical paint,anode electrophoresis, etc.

Storage stability:

Melamines IAMEL 5507 can be stored in the original container at 25°C for at least 24 months.
