Melamines IAMEL 5707
Melamines IAMEL 5707
Melamines IAMEL 5707 is a methyl/butyl mixed etherified melamine formaldehyde resin, with a methoxy to butoxide ratio (molar ratio) of approximately 75:25. Soluble in polar solvents such as alcohols, esters, and ketones, and partially soluble in water and petroleum solvents
Melamines IAMEL 5707 has a high degree of etherification and relatively low reaction activity. In order to achieve better crosslinking reaction, acid catalysts (such as dinitronyl naphthalene sulfonic acid, PTSA, dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid, etc.) should be added appropriately. It has good interlayer adhesion, excellent leveling and fullness, high cross-linking density, excellent flexibility, and good chemical resistance. Can be used to make solvent based and water-based coatings. To ensure storage stability in aqueous systems, the pH value of the system can be adjusted to 8-9 or an appropriate amount of n-butanol can be added.
